Nifty around 11,950, Sensex gains 100 points; Indiabulls Housing up 4%

Axis Bank shares gained nearly a percent intraday after global brokerage firm maintained buy call on the stock as profit is expected to turn around in FY20.

The research house raised price target to Rs 1,000 from Rs 890 earlier, implying 24 percent potential upside and it sees an earnings recovery in FY20 as credit costs normalize. Indian indices are trading higher after a flat start in the morning trade with Nifty around 11,950.

The Sensex is up 114.10 points or 0.29% at 39953.35, and the Nifty up 37.60 points or 0.32% at 11954.40. About 1003 shares have advanced, 559 shares declined, and 79 shares are unchanged. Shares of Titan Company declined 1 percent in the early trade on July 4 after foreign brokerage house Morgan Stanley downgraded the stock to the equal-weight from overweight. It is a flat start for the Indian indices on July 4 ahead of Union Budget scheduled on July 5.

At 09:17 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 66.64 points at 39905.89, while Nifty is up 22.50 points at 11939.30. About 440 shares have advanced, 245 shares declined, and 29 shares are unchanged.

Edelweiss Financial Services shares gained more than a percent intraday after ICRA reaffirmed its credit rating for the company's commercial paper and non-convertible debentures.

The financial services provider informed exchanges that ICRA re-affirmed its credit rating of A1+ assigned to the commercial paper program of Rs 6,350 crore and short-term non-convertible debenture program of Rs 100 crore of the company.

The rating of A1+ indicates a very strong degree of safety regarding timely payment of financial obligations

Benchmark indices recovered from the morning lows with Nifty trading above 11,800 marks.

At 09:55 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 127.88 points or 0.32% at 39562.82, and the Nifty up 30.30 points or 0.26% at 11826.80. About 948 shares have advanced, 532 shares declined, and 77 shares are unchanged. Oil prices rose over 1% on Wednesday to hit their highest in nearly a month as widely-watched data showed U.S. crude stockpiles fell more than expected, underpinning a market already buoyed by worries over potential US-Iran conflict.

Goldman downgraded Dabur India to sell with a target price of Rs 334, implying 16.66 percent potential downside from current levels as key segments seeing competition is the main reason to sell. Shares fell 6.66 percent on June 18 after the company decided to take exposure to non-convertible debentures of debt-laden Essel Group.

Indian indices erased some of its early gains but trading marginally higher with Sensex holding above 39,000.

At 09:52 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 50.50 points or 0.13% at 39011.29, and the Nifty up 6.30 points or 0.05% at 11678.50. About 709 shares have advanced, 736 shares declined, and 81 shares are unchanged. It is a firm opening for the benchmark indices on June 18 with Nifty around 11,700.

At 09:17 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 114.52 points at 39,075.31, while Nifty is up 33.80 points at 11706. About 403 shares have advanced, 226 shares declined, and 25 shares are unchanged.

Small & Midcaps underperform; 20 stocks fell 10-30% in a week

Benchmark indices might have moved in a narrow range, but the big carnage was seen in the small & midcaps which fell up to 30 percent in five trading sessions.

India is displaying divergent behavior when compared to the global market. The Wall Street also ended lower on Friday but closed the week with gains. All three major indexes posted gains for the week: the Dow rose 0.4 percent, the S&P 500 gained 0.5 percent, and the Nasdaq added 0.7 percent.

Mixed macro data, the upcoming US Federal Reserve policy meeting on June 18-19, the progress of monsoon, high valuations, the progress of US-China trade talks and retaliatory tariff from India on US goods are some of the factors which weighed on the sentiment.

Indian markets ended the week on a negative note with cash strap, and debt-laden companies bear the brunt of brutal sell-off. The sell-off intensified on Friday afternoon on news reports that India would impose retaliatory tariffs on US goods.

The S&P BSE Sensex fell 0.4 percent compared to 1.2 percent fall seen in the S&P BSE Midcap and about 2 percent drop saw in the S&P BSE Smallcap index.

Board of directors of the company's wholly owned subsidiary viz. Pathlabs Unifiers approved signing a binding term sheet for the acquisition of 70% equity stake in a New Company to be incorporated by Vinita Kothari and Sushila Dalal. The rupee traded lower by 4 paise at 69.55 against the US dollar, as rising crude oil price concerns weighed on investor community.

The rupee appreciated by 26 paise to 69.00 against the US dollar in the opening, but wiped out most of the gains to trade just 3 paise higher at 69.22 a dollar now. ICICI Bank and Axis Bank shares fell around a percent each intraday on June 4 after global rating agency Fitch downgraded both by a notch saying financial health of the private sector banks has weakened.

Airtel Africa, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel proceed with an initial public offering for admission and listing of its shares on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.

The offer is targeted to raise USD 750 million (plus a primary greenshoe option of up to 15%) and will be used to reduce the net debt. Further, Airtel Africa is also considering a listing of its shares on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Gold climbed more than 1.5% on Monday to its highest level in more than three months on concerns that U.S.-Chinese trade tensions and Washington's threat of tariffs on Mexico would hurt the global economy. After hitting record highs in the previous session, it is a gap down opening for the Indian indices on June 4 with Nifty around 12,050.

At 09:16 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 132.09 points or 0.33% at 40135.53, and the Nifty down 37.30 points or 0.31% at 12051.20. About 300 shares have advanced, 325 shares declined, and 38 shares are unchanged.

नरेंद्र मोदी की ओर से एक बार भी पीएम पद की शपथ ग्रहण के बाद शुक्रवार को देश के शेयर बाजार मजबूती के साथ खुले। प्रमुख सूचकांक सेंसेक्स सुबह के सत्र में 184 अंकों की बढ़त के साथ 40,016.50 पर खुला। जबकि निफ्टी 45 अंकों की बढ़त के साथ 11,991.50 पर खुला।

Shares of Dewan Housing Finance Ltd (DHFL) fell up to 17 percent intraday on May 22 after the company announced that it has stopped accepting fresh public deposits and renewals of existing deposits with immediate effect. Benchmark indices opened flat to positive on May 22 ahead of Lok Sabha Election 2019 counting on May 23.

At 09:16 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 14.55 points at 38955.25, while Nifty is down 23.10 points at 11686. About 368 shares have advanced, 237 shares declined, and 38 shares are unchanged.

DHFL, Tech Mahindra, JSPL, Indiabulls Housing, Yes Bank, ITC, HUL, IndusInd Bank and HUL are among major gainers, while losers are BPCL, IOC, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, Britannia, HDFC Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

Among the sectors, IT, metal, FMCG and auto indices are trading with marginal loss, while energy, infra, and pharma are trading higher. Benchmark indices are trading higher in the pre-opening session on May 22 with Nifty above 11,750.

At 09:01 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 136.74 points or 0.35% at 39106.54, and the Nifty up 63.40 points or 0.54% at 11772.50. Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for the broader index in India, a gain of 12 points or 0.10 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,738.50-level on the Singaporean Exchange. चुनाव के बाद बढ़ी पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमतें, जाने अपने शहर के दाम

अंतरराष्ट्रीय तेल बाजार में कच्चे केल की कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी के चलते भारतीय तेल बाजार में भी इसका असर दिख रहा है। सोमवार को भारत की सबसे बड़ी तेल कंपनी इंडियन ऑयल कॉर्पोरेशन के पेट्रोल और डीजल की कीमतों में बढ़ोतरी की। पेट्रोल की कीमतों में 8 से 10 पैसे की बढ़ोतरी हुई जबकि डीजल की कीमतों में 15 से 16 पैसे की बढ़ोतरी हुई है। सोमवार को राजधानी दिल्ली में पेट्रोल 9 पैसे की बढ़ोतरी के बाद 71.12 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है। मुंबई में पेट्रोल 9 पैसे की बढ़ोतरी के बाद 76.73 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है। कोलकाता में पेट्रोल 8 पैसे की बढ़ोतरी के बाद 73.19 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है। वहीं, चेन्नई में पेट्रोल 10 पैसे की बढ़ोतरी के चलते 73.82 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है।

राजधानी दिल्ली में डीजल 66.11 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है। मुंबई में डीजल 69.27 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है। कोलकाता में डीजल 67.86 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है। वहीं, चेन्नई में डीजल 69.88 रुपए प्रति लीटर बिक रहा है।

अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में सोमवार को तेजी देखी गई। सोमवार को सुबह के कारोबार में कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में बढो़तरी हुई है। ब्रेंट क्रूड ऑयल 1.48 फीसदी की तेजी के साथ 73.28 डॉलर प्रति बैरल और WTI क्रूड 1.43 फीसदी की तेजी के साथ 63.82 डॉलर प्रति बैरल पर कारोबार कर रहा हैं।source- money bhaskar

Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a flat opening for the broader index in India, a gain of 3 points or 0.03 percent. Nifty futures were trading around 11,364-level on the Singaporean Exchange. Technology stocks led the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq higher on Tuesday, with US stocks reclaiming ground lost to Monday's steep sell-off as investors took heart from a tonal shift in ongoing US trade negotiations with China.

क सेंसेक्स 41 अंकों की तेजी के साथ 39,022 अंकों पर और नेशनल स्टॉक एक्सचेंज का निफ्टी 10 अंकों की तेजी के साथ 11,735 अंकों पर खुला। सुबह 9.30 बजे सेंसेक्स 58 अंकों की तेजी के साथ 39,040 अंकों पर और निफ्टी 17 अंकों की तेजी के साथ 11,742 अंकों पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

जेट एयरवेज में गिरावट का सिलसिला लगातार तीसरे कारोबारी दिवस भी चालू है। शुक्रवार को सुबह के कारोबार सत्र में सेंसेक्स में जेट एयरवेज के शेयर 5 फीसदी तक टूट गए। सुबह 9.32 बजे यह 4.56 फीसदी की गिरावट के साथ 128 रुपए प्रति शेयर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। कोई भी खरीदार नहीं मिलने की खबर के बाद जेट के शेयरों में गिरावट का सिलसिला बरकरार है। निफ्टी में ब्रिटानिया 4.01 फीसदी की गिरावट के साथ 2780 रुपए प्रति शेयर पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

शुरुआती कारोबार में सेंसेक्स में टाटा स्टील पीपी, बॉम्बे डाइंग, आरपावर, आरकॉम, अडानी ग्रीन एनर्जी लिमिटेड में तेजी का माहौल है। निफ्टी में हिंडाल्को, भारती एयरटेल, सिप्ला, भारती इंफ्राटेल, एशियन पेंट्स में तेजी का माहौल है।source- www.money.bhaskar.com

Sensex, Nifty open in the red; Jet Airways, Maruti Suzuki in focus

Indian indices are opened flat with negative bias on Thursday with Nifty around 11,700.

At 09:18 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 61.16 points at 38,970.39, while Nifty is down 22.50 points at 11,725.70. About 414 shares have advanced, 445 shares declined, and 59 shares are unchanged.

Yes Bank, Eicher Motors, Jet Airways, IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Vedanta, TVS Motor, Maruti Suzuki, HPCL, BPCL are among major lower in the early trade, while gainers are ONGC, IOC, JSW Steel, Britannia HDFC Bank and ITC.

Expect Infra and FMCG, all other sectoral indices are trading in red led by auto, IT, metal and pharma.

Benchmark indices are trading flat in the pre-opening session.

At 09:03 hrs IST, the Sensex is up 21.83 points or 0.06% at 39053.38, and the Nifty down 10.80 points or 0.09% at 11737.40.

Maruti Suzuki, Eicher Motors, are trading lower in pre-opening, while Britannia and Kotak Mahindra Bank are trading higher.Asian markets marked time on Thursday with two major centres - Japan and China - shut for holidays while the dollar held on to overnight gains after the US central bank poured cold water on rate cut expectations.source- www.moneycontrol.com

Nifty may touch 12,000 before elections if there is no major negative news

I am bullish on Indian equities on a long term horizon. Nifty is already at 11,750 levels and if no major negative news hits the market, there is some amount of possibility that it may touch 12,000 before elections, My guess is that this situation is not going to go for a long period of time. If that so, then I believe that implications are not going to very adversely impact Indian capital market scenario on a long term basis. However, if the situation goes for a longer time and increase in oil prices stay for prolong period then it will surely impact the Indian capital markets negatively.

At the moment major sentiment in the market is positive, FII flows are steady, intermittent negative news such as an increase in oil prices, low IIP data can impact the sentiments negatively. Nifty is already at 11,750 levels and if no major negative news hits the market, there is some amount of possibility that it may touch 12,000 before elections. I advise investors to keep a well spread and diversified portfolio with a great fundamental story based on proper asset allocation plan. I feel the global cyclical sector along with the domestic interest-sensitive sector. Also, consumer and infra related sectors should do well in the coming years. I would prefer to watch the acceleration on real growth, a continuation of low inflation, global liquidity and healthy earning outlook as key positives. The key negative to have a watch out for are high lending rates, funding shortage for smaller companies, increased populism led fiscal slippage (due to elections environment) and slow investment picks up in the manufacturing sector.source- www.moneycontrol.com
